Khabarni - The Jordanian Cartoonists Association announced the election of a new administrative body for the year 2025, during an extraordinary meeting held on Thursday, May 22, 2025. The meeting was attended by the members of the association from the general assembly and the previous administrative body, with Mr. Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi representing the #Ministry_of_Culture, to oversee the association's activities on the local and Arab scenes.
The elections resulted in the victory of the artist Omar Adnan Al-Abdallat as the president of the association, and the election of the artist Mahmoud Al-Rifai as his deputy, in addition to the position of secretary of the association. The artist Mais Al-Omar was elected as the treasurer, and the artists Amjad Rasmi and Bashir Marish as members of the administrative body.
It is worth mentioning that the artist Omar Adnan Al-Abdallat is a cartoonist and a creator of visual content characterized by a satirical and profound artistic style that combines human sensitivity and social critique. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design from the University of Applied Sciences – Jordan in 2001, and he previously received specialized artistic training in 1998 at IFAC College in Miami – United States of America.
