Her father, Skip, announced the actress's death in a statement to "ABC News" on Sunday.
He said in his statement: "With great sadness and sorrow, we share the devastating departure of our beloved Hayden. She was a brilliant light and a force of nature who brought immeasurable love and happiness to everyone who knew her - and to millions who watched her on screen."
The cause of death was not announced.
