Khaberni - The head of the International Maritime Organization, Arsenio Dominguez, said that the evacuation of the sailors stranded in Hormuz will take "a few weeks".
Dominguez clarified, in statements to (France Press) on Wednesday, that the evacuation plan announced by this agency affiliated with the United Nations and responsible for maritime safety on Tuesday will allow 600 ships stranded since the start of the war to finally leave the area, adding: "We will need a few more weeks before we can actually accomplish the evacuation of all the sailors".
The organization stated on Tuesday that the plan, which took several months to approve, will allow hundreds of ships to sail through the strait after they were stranded in the Gulf due to the Iran war, carrying about 11,000 sailors on board.
