Khaberni - Iranian television reported the arrival of the first container ship to the "Shahid Rajaee" port in the city of Bandar Abbas in Hormozgan province in the south of the country, after the United States lifted the maritime blockade on Iranian ports.
The statement from the Iranian government's broadcasting authority stated, "The first container ship has arrived at Shahid Rajaee port".
It's noted that Iran and the United States remotely signed a memorandum of understanding on the evening of June 18th, settling to end the military conflict that started on February 28th.
The memorandum also details the timelines for lifting the maritime blockade by the United States and the restoration of Iran's navigation through the Strait of Hormuz.
In addition, Iran commits to not possessing nuclear weapons, whereby the Iranian nuclear program issue will be settled through a separate agreement. Within 60 days, the parties will hold discussions regarding this issue, with the outcome for Tehran being the lifting of sanctions imposed against it.
