Khaberni - The Speaker of the Iranian Parliament and the senior Iranian negotiator, Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf, said on Thursday-Friday night that Iran will not hesitate to respond strongly if the other party (the United States) breaches its commitments.
Qalibaf added: "Any breach of the agreement or the presentation of exaggerated demands will be met with a strong response."
He continued: "The task we have been assigned by the Supreme Leader is to pursue the implementation of the terms and conditions of the agreement."
The Iranian Supreme Leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, said on Thursday that he had issued permission to approve a memorandum of understanding with the United States.
Khamenei added, in a written message, that Iranian officials made great efforts to reach the stage of signing the memorandum of understanding.
He noted that the American President Donald Trump used, from a position of weakness, various tools to reach the memorandum of understanding.
The Iranian Supreme Leader continued: "I had a different opinion regarding the memorandum with America, but I agreed to it after Bzshkyan pledged to take responsibility for protecting our people's rights."
Khamenei confirmed that the negotiations Iran will conduct in the future do not mean that it will accept the terms of the 'enemy'.
The Iranian Supreme Leader also pointed out that the Iranian President Masoud Bzshkyan assured him that "if the American party insists on its demands, we will not submit to that."
