Khaberni - American billionaire Jeff Bezos discreetly offers his luxurious yacht "Coro" for sale, valued at around $500 million, a step likely due to its size and high operating costs.
According to the "Page Six" website, "Coro" is one of the largest sailing yachts in the world with a length of 127 meters, making it the second largest yacht globally after "Rising Sun" designed by David Geffen.
Accompanying the yacht is the vessel "Abiona" valued at about $75 million, while reports indicate that the operating cost of both vessels together amounts to about $30 million annually, without confirming whether the support vessel is included in any potential sale deal.
The yacht’s name is inspired by the Maori language, where the word "Coro" means "loop" or "round," a symbol associated with new beginnings, and Bezos has previously referred to this meaning as having a special significance for him and his wife Lauren Sanchez.
The yacht includes multiple luxurious designs, among them three towering masts, several decks, and an onboard swimming pool. It is also known for having a wooden statue depicting Lauren Sanchez as a mermaid at its prow.
Despite its luxury, "Coro" has faced a series of challenges since its construction in the Netherlands, including objections in the city of Rotterdam in 2022 due to plans to dismantle a historic bridge to allow its passage, before the design was ultimately modified.
It was also prohibited from docking in Monaco in 2025 due to its large size, and was unable to approach the venue of Bezos and Sanchez's wedding in Venice, where the couple held a separate celebration on board.
Over the past years, the yacht has accompanied the couple on global trips and witnessed gatherings of numerous celebrities.
