Khaberni - Giza Preparatory School in Egypt witnessed a number of students suffering from suffocation due to the rising smoke from a fire that broke out in a nearby clothing store in Giza Square; they were transferred to the hospital amid educational and health follow-up.
Giza Preparatory School experienced an incident where a number of students showed suffocation symptoms caused by a fire in one of the neighboring stores.
Immediately, the injured students were transferred to Umm Al-Masryeen Hospital, and Saeed Atiya, the Deputy Minister of Education and Technical Education in Giza, went to the hospital to check on the health status of the injured students.
Local media sources learned that the students' condition is stable and there are no serious injuries.
The medical examination revealed that the injuries were due to inhaling smoke from the fire near the school and the cases were dealt with immediately by providing the necessary first aid.
The students are currently under medical observation to fully ensure their health.
It's worth noting that the emergency operations room had received a report of a fire inside a famous clothing store in Giza Square, which led to the rise of dense smoke and its spread to adjacent buildings, including the Giza Preparatory School building.
Immediately, civil defense forces moved to the site of the fire, where a security cordon was established, and necessary measures were taken to control the fire.
On the other hand, Mohamed Abdel Latif, Minister of Education and Technical Education, decided to appoint Amal El-Howary as the director of the June 30 school group.
Amal El-Howary had previously held the position of director of the New Egypt educational administration and director of the Directorate of Education in Beni Suef.
The June 30 schools are private schools that were previously affiliated with members of the terrorist Muslim Brotherhood group and were incorporated by a judicial ruling to become directly affiliated with the Ministry of Education.
