Khaberni - The spokesperson for the Association of Tourism and Travel Agents, Bilal Rubain, announced the departure of the first convoy of Jordanian pilgrims to the Holy Lands to perform the pilgrimage on the fourteenth of May.
Rubain stated on Friday that the association has developed a comprehensive plan to ensure the best services for the pilgrims from their departure from the Kingdom until their safe return.
He added that the Ministry of Awqaf will hold a farewell event in the city of Al-Jeeza south of Amman for the first convoy, which will be followed by other convoys according to a plan aimed at providing the best services for the Jordanian pilgrims and the 1948 Arab pilgrims, at the lowest possible prices.
Meanwhile, the Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs, Mohammed Al-Khalaileh, announced that Jordan's quota for the upcoming Hajj season is 8,000 pilgrims, in addition to 4,500 pilgrims from the 1948 Arabs, noting that about 28,000 citizens have registered on the Hajj platform.
The Ministry of Awqaf warns
The Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs emphasized the importance of adhering to the instructions and procedures from the Saudi authorities including not allowing the performance of the pilgrimage without an official permit.
The ministry stressed that any attempt to perform the Hajj without a permit or to assist in entering Mecca to perform the Hajj with any other type of visa other than the official Hajj visa would subject the violator to legal accountability.
It pointed out that anyone violating the Hajj instructions will be fined between 20,000 Saudi Riyals (3,780 Dinars) and 100,000 Riyals (18,900 Dinars), with the deportation of the violators residing in the country to their home countries, and confiscation of the transport means used.
The statement clarified that it is necessary for pilgrims to obtain an official Hajj visa issued by the competent authorities, ensuring that the process is organized and the safety of the pilgrims is maintained.
