Khaberni - The National Center for Security and Crisis Management urged hikers during the weekend holiday not to light fires in forested areas or areas containing dry grass, and not to leave barbecue remains burning when leaving picnic spots, with the necessity of disposing of them properly.
The Center warned, in issuing warnings and guidance to citizens regarding trips and hiking, against throwing cigarette butts on the edges of roads or while hiking in forests, and from keeping flammable materials inside vehicles.
The necessity of not swimming in agricultural ponds and dams to avoid drowning risks and keeping a fire extinguisher inside the vehicle for use in emergencies was emphasized.
The Center stressed the importance of preserving the cleanliness of tourist sites and hiking spots and not leaving waste, urging to contact the unified emergency number (911) when needed.
The highway patrols also urged drivers to adhere to traffic laws in conjunction with the weekend holiday, and to avoid serious violations to maintain public safety.
