Khaberni - The committee for pricing oil derivatives held its periodic meeting on Thursday and reviewed the prices of oil derivatives during the month of April, comparing them with those of the previous March, which showed the continuation of rises in global prices driven by regional developments.
Despite the increase in oil derivative prices, the government fixed the prices of gas used in industries.
The committee confirmed that the government continued the approach used in the previous month and since the beginning of the regional crisis, where the full increases in global prices were not reflected on the local prices, but only a part of them.
It also indicated that the government bore direct support on the pricing for the month of May amounting to 68 million dinars, in addition to about 2.9 million dinars directed towards supporting the industrial sector, as part of supporting the stability of the local market and productive sectors.
The price of the domestic gas cylinder (12.5 kg) was fixed at 7 dinars without any change, continuing its support despite global increases.
Meanwhile, the price of kerosene was fixed and the increase was fully contained without reflecting any increase on the citizens.
