Khaberni - Fathi Jaghbeer, president of both Amman and Jordan's Chambers of Industry, confirmed on Thursday that Jordanian industrial prices were not raised amid the war in Iran, pointing out that the government's decision to stabilize the prices of gas used in industries enhances the industrialists' direction towards not raising prices.
Jaghbeer called on industrialists during his talk with "Al Mamlaka" to never raise prices to gain citizens' trust.
He stated that the decision taken by the government has contributed to the continued increase in exports and penetration of foreign markets which counts 155 markets worldwide, praising that decision.
He saw that it enhances the partnership between the government and the private sector, and boosts the sector's competitiveness in the global markets continuity.
He explained that stabilizing gas and electricity prices are more important for the sector than fuel prices, as there are alternatives like electric vehicles.
The Oil Derivatives Pricing Committee held its periodic meeting, reviewed the oil derivatives prices for the month of April compared with those of the past month of March, which showed continued increases driven by regional developments.
Despite the rise in oil derivatives prices, the government has stabilized the prices of gas used in industries.
