Targeting Western Galilee and Israeli Towns Declare Education and Transportation Halt

Khaberni - Channel 12 Israeli reported the fall of a rocket shell launched from Lebanon in the Western Galilee area in northern Israel, coinciding with the announcement of the Home Front launching air raid sirens in 9 locations following the infiltration of a drone from Lebanon.

The official Israeli radio station stated that the army launched interceptor missiles, and explosions were heard in the western sector of Upper Galilee after detecting missile launches and drone infiltrations from Lebanon.

However, the Israeli army later announced that “the alerts about the penetration of a hostile aircraft into the battle plan area were due to a misdiagnosis."

In this context, Channel 7 Israeli stated that “the local authorities in the north have decided to stop education and transportation in the towns threatened by shootings from Lebanon."

This comes while senior Israeli officials informed their American counterparts that "if Hezbollah continues to attack Israeli Defense Army soldiers, Israel will be unable to maintain its current measured response,” according to what Jerusalem Post reported.

Mutual Escalation
And yesterday, Sunday, Hezbollah stated that it attacked Israeli forces inside Lebanon, and that rescue forces came to evacuate them. Afterward, the Israeli army announced the death of one military personnel and the injury of 6 including an officer and 3 soldiers, describing their injuries as severe, during battles in southern Lebanon.

Furthermore, the Israeli army mentioned that it intercepted 3 drones before crossing into Israel after the air raid sirens sounded warning of an aerial attack on the north.

This came following the Israeli army’s warning to the residents to evacuate 7 towns north of the Litani River, beyond the "buffer zone" it occupied in southern Lebanon.

Hezbollah considers its targeting of the Israeli army congregations in the occupied Lebanese territories and bombing its settlements in northern Israel as "a legitimate response to its grave breaches of the ceasefire, including bulldozing and destroying homes or targeting civilians, and its continued occupation of Lebanese territories and violations of its sovereignty."

Lebanon counted 13 people killed and 30 injured in the last 24 hours, raising the total victims of the Israeli aggression to 2509 killed and 7755 injured since March 2nd, according to a report issued by the Disaster Risk Management unit affiliated with the Council of Ministers of Lebanon.

The latest statistics issued by the Lebanese Ministry of Health earlier this month showed that among the deceased were 274 women, 177 children, and 100 medical aids.

A ceasefire mediated by the United States began on April 17 for a period of 10 days and was extended until May 17; however, Israel breaches it daily with bombings that result in deaths and injuries, in addition to demolishing homes in southern Lebanon.
