Khaberni - The Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) reported that "Israeli occupation forces penetrated, on Sunday, between the villages of Jamlah and Saisun in the Yarmouk Basin in western rural Daraa".
It indicated that "a force of the occupation consisting of about 10 vehicles penetrated on the outskirts of the village Jamlah in the Yarmouk Basin area, before withdrawing and positioning along the Jamlah-Saisun road, near the road leading to Wadi Ruqqad".
No immediate comment was issued by the Syrian authorities on the incursion, which comes as part of the ongoing Israeli violations.
These developments come after statements by Syrian President Ahmed Al-Shara, in an interview with Anadolu Agency last Thursday, in which he said that negotiations with Israel have not reached a dead end, but are proceeding with great difficulty due to its insistence on presence in Syrian territories.
Ongoing Violations
In recent months, Israeli violations in southern Syria occurred almost daily, including campaigns of raids and searches of homes, setting up checkpoints, as well as the arrest of civilians including children and shepherds.
After the overthrow of Bashar al-Assad's regime on December 8, 2024, Israel declared the collapse of the Disengagement Agreement signed between the sides since 1974, and occupied the Syrian buffer zone.
Since the overthrow of the Assad regime, Israel has conducted airstrikes on Syria, resulting in civilian deaths and the destruction of military sites, vehicles, and ammunition.
