Khaberni - The Ukrainian Army said, on Sunday, that it targeted a major Russian oil refinery in Yaroslavl, northeast of Moscow, which is considered highly important for the logistics operations of the Russian army.
The Ukrainian Army added in a statement that reports indicated a fire had broken out at the facility following the attack, and that the extent of damage was being assessed.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky accused Russia of practicing "nuclear terrorism".
Zelensky said that Russia had "pushed the world to the brink of a man-made disaster" through its war in Ukraine since 2022, noting that drones launched by Moscow regularly fly over the nuclear reactor, and that one of them had hit its protective casing last year.
He emphasized that "the world must not allow this nuclear terrorism to continue, and the best way to do that is to force Russia to stop its reckless attacks".
