Khaberni - Washington police declared that the attack on the hotel where US President Donald Trump was staying was carried out by a single individual.
The American police spokesperson stated: We have no belief that the attacker was supported by any entity. It appears that the attacker was acting independently.
The spokesperson added that the suspect was not known to the city police force, and that initial information indicates that he fired shots.
She explained that the motives of the suspect cannot currently be determined, and details will be disclosed later after the investigation is completed.
The police also suggested that the suspect might have been one of the hotel's guests.
In turn, the head of the US Presidential Security Service confirmed that the attacker was arrested immediately as he tried to approach the area.
Similarly, the Mayor of Washington clarified that a single gunman had stormed a checkpoint operated by the Secret Service in the hotel lobby, and was stopped by a member of the service, ruling out the involvement of any other individuals in the incident.
