Khaberni - Axios reported that US President Donald Trump was evacuated from the White House Correspondents' Dinner by his security team.
Fox News quoted a source that the president's security detained the shooter and the event would resume as the venue is now secure, while CNN reported from a source on "neutralizing" at the Hilton hotel lobby where Trump was attending the event.
CNN also cited an official in the US administration stating that President Trump and his administration members are "safe and unharmed".
US media confirmed that President Trump and his vice president were removed from the White House Correspondents' Dinner hall after a loud noise was heard inside the hall.
In turn, a Washington Post correspondent said that a loud sound, possibly a gunshot, interrupted the White House Correspondents' Dinner, noting that the Secret Service began evacuating officials including Secretary of State Marco Rubio.
