Bleeding and intestinal damage Captured deadly milk in Egypt

Khaberni - Supervisory authorities in the Asyut governorate caught an unlicensed factory recycling spoiled milk to put it back on the market. The factory used dangerous chemicals to hide the signs of spoilage.

The Asyut Supply Directorate announced the raid on the factory, capturing 3 tons of spoiled yogurt and quantities of "hydrogen peroxide" oxidizer. It was clarified that the factory used this substance to deceive consumers about the freshness and suitability of the product, while it is a "time bomb" that threatens the lives of citizens.

In this context, gastroenterology consultant Dr. Hatem Abdel Haq warned against using "hydrogen peroxide" in food, stressing that it constitutes a complete crime.

He explained in statements that the material causes severe inflammation and complications that may not appear immediately but may worsen and turn into unseen hazards that threaten consumers' lives. He pointed out that capturing factories that re-manufacture food products with dangerous chemicals reflects the severity of these practices.

He added that unsafe use of this substance or other oxidizing materials may lead to serious health consequences, including severe irritation in the digestive system, acute inflammation in the stomach and intestines, and may develop into more severe complications. He confirmed that protecting food security requires cooperation between regulatory bodies, the medical sector, and the community.

On his part, gastroenterology specialist Dr. Sayed Ali told "Al Arabiya.net/Al Hadath.net" that hydrogen peroxide causes severe irritation to the lining of the stomach and intestines, and may lead to acute inflammation and ulcers, especially at high concentrations or with repeated use.

He pointed out that the danger of the material extends to complex health complications with repeated exposure, and some may suffer from severe abdominal pain and digestive disorders, reaching bleeding or damage to the internal tissues of the digestive system.

As for the most vulnerable groups, he explained that they are patients with digestive diseases, especially those with chronic inflammations, as consuming products containing this substance can quickly exacerbate their condition.
