4 times in an hour Alarm sirens blared in northern Israel

Khaberni - Alarm sirens blared 4 times within one hour in several settlements in the north, on Saturday evening, following the launch of rockets and drones from Lebanon targeting Israel, while the Israeli army continued its breaches of the ceasefire agreement by carrying out a series of air raids and extensive bombing of residential blocks in southern Lebanon.

Israeli media, including the "Yedioth Ahronoth" newspaper, reported that alarm sirens were activated in about 10 towns in western Galilee, including settlements such as "Shlomi", "Hanita", "Yaar", "Metzuba", "Betzet", "Abdon", and Rosh HaNikra, due to suspicions of drone infiltration.

The Israeli military confirmed the interception of a "suspicious aerial target" and the loss of contact with another, and also noted rocket launches towards the settlements of "Margaliot", "Manara", and "Misgav Am" in Upper Galilee, one of which fell in an open area.

This comes amid a general Israeli blackout on the results of the attacks targeting the northern settlements, as the military censor imposes strict restrictions on publishing details of the losses or material damages, and the accuracy of the Israeli military narrative regarding the interceptions has not been independently verified.

Explosions and raids in the south
In southern Lebanon, Al Jazeera's correspondent reported that Israeli occupation forces carried out extensive bombing operations, targeting buildings in the town of Bint Jbeil and residential blocks and facilities in the town of Al-Khiyam.

The Israeli Air Force also carried out raids targeting the towns of Yehmor al-Shaqif, Al-Jumayjimah, and Qunayn, resulting in 4 deaths in the town of Yehmor al-Shaqif, according to the Lebanese Ministry of Health.

Anadolu Agency reported that the Israeli military launched 26 attacks on Lebanon on Saturday, the ninth day of the ceasefire, resulting in 6 deaths and 17 injuries.

Conversely, Hezbollah announced targeting an Israeli military "Namer" vehicle in the southern town of Al-Qantara with a suicide drone.

The Israeli military had earlier claimed to have killed more than 15 Hezbollah members on Friday and Saturday under the pretext of "posing a threat to the forces operating in the area," and also claimed to have intercepted a drone above Lebanese territory before it entered Israeli airspace.

These field escalations occur despite the ceasefire announced by U.S. President Donald Trump on April 17, which was recently extended for another 3 weeks.

According to the latest update from the Lebanese Ministry of Health, the cumulative toll of the Israeli aggression since the beginning of March has reached 2496 dead and 7725 injured, amid the continuous Israeli incursions that have reached a depth of about 10 kilometers inside the southern border.
