BYD unveils its new electric car in Beijing

Khaberni - BYD unveiled during the Beijing Auto Show its new crossover "Atto 3" which has features and specifications that make it a strong competitor in the world of electric vehicles.

The car comes with a modern design and a streamlined body, measuring 466 cm in length, 189 cm in width, 157 cm in height, and a wheelbase of 277 cm. It is also equipped with wide wheels sized 18 and 19 inches, which provide it with smoothness and stability on roads.

According to leaks, this car also obtained two types of lithium-iron-phosphate (LFP) batteries produced by BYD's FinDreams subsidiary, a battery with a capacity of 57.545 kilowatt-hours that works with an electric motor with 322 horsepower capacity, sufficient for the vehicle to travel 540 km on a single charge, and a battery with a capacity of 68.5 kilowatt-hours that works with an electric motor with 322 horsepower, sufficient for covering a distance of 630 km on a full charge.


One of the prominent features of this vehicle, according to leaks, is its ultra-fast charging technology, where the battery can be charged from 10 to 70% in just 5 minutes, and from 10 to 97% in nine minutes. Even at temperatures as low as -30 degrees Celsius, the charging time only increases by 3 minutes, making the car a strong competitor in the global electric vehicle markets.


The car also obtained various safety features such as a blind spot feature to avoid accidents, anti-skid on sharp turns and slippery roads, airbags to protect all passengers during accidents, a lane keeping system on highways, and cameras and distance sensors both front and rear.

A BYD representative told the Russian agency "Novosti" that the car is slated to be offered for sale in the second half of this year, with the pre-booking amount ranging between 140 and 180 thousand Chinese yuan (approximately equivalent to 20,400 to 26,200 US dollars).
