Khaberni - American billionaire Elon Musk announced Tesla's intent to expand the scope of the "Tesla Diner" project, a pioneering concept that integrates superfast charging stations with futuristic-themed restaurants.
This confirmation came via the "X" platform, where Musk reposted a video clip showing the experience of ordering food from cars headed to the "Hollywood" branch, commenting with a terse and decisive phrase: "More Tesla restaurants are coming."
Elon Musk's recent statements bolster expectations that Palo Alto, California, will be chosen as the next destination, following his response with the word "definitely" to a proposal to establish a branch there.
This move revives a plan introduced by Musk in October 2025, aiming to create branches near the company's vital centers, specifically near the global engineering headquarters in Palo Alto, the "Giga Texas" headquarters in Austin, and extending to the "Star Base" area to connect the project with the "SpaceX" ecosystem.
The "West Hollywood" branch located on Santa Monica Boulevard is the actual testbed for this concept, having proven extremely successful since its opening in July 2025.
Tesla considers this site, which houses over 250 dining seats, to be the world's largest urban charging station; it has been equipped with 80 V4 Superchargers, in addition to entertainment facilities including two giant cinema screens and a "Skypad" platform on the second floor that offers stunning views of the city.
Despite the company's efforts to simplify the menu to ensure the speed and efficiency of service, public demand has significantly exceeded expectations; after focusing the menu on classic American meals like burgers, milkshakes, and fried chicken, reports revealed that the restaurant succeeded in selling about 50,000 burger pieces in just the third quarter of last year alone, reflecting the massive demand for this unique experience.
Through this expansion, Elon Musk aims to generalize this model in major cities and along long travel routes, to transform the process of charging an electric car from merely a "technical wait" into a comprehensive social and entertainment experience.
