Khaberni - The Egyptian Ministry of Interior has revealed the circumstances around a video of two individuals beating a dog with a wooden chair until it died.
Through technical examination and field investigations, the security forces of the Sharqia Security Directorate were able to identify the perpetrators, who were revealed to be (an owner of a cigarette display booth and his brother), both with criminal records and residents within the jurisdiction of the Zagazig Police Station. After legal procedures were followed, they were targeted and arrested at their residence.
When confronted with the video clip, the accused confessed to committing the act in cold blood, claiming that they noticed symptoms of illness in the dog while at their place of work, and decided to eliminate it by beating it with a wooden chair for fear of infection. However, these justifications did not prevent the security forces from taking legal action against them for killing a pet in violation of the law.
The security move did not stop at just arresting them; coordination was made with the Veterinary Medicine Administration to take necessary measures and to examine the incident from a health and environmental perspective. This arrest underscores that the law extends to everyone who violates the values of compassion or commits acts of violence that terrorize citizens, even if the victim is a defenseless animal, maintaining the state's authority as the primary deterrent against those who dare to deviate from traditions and laws.
