Khaberni - Egyptian investigative authorities are currently investigating a tragic incident that occurred in a shopping mall in the city of 6th of October, where the body of a child was found in a trash bin.
The investigation revealed shocking details and a bewildering turn of events as a man who initially offered humanitarian aid to a 3-year-old homeless child, later became a killer facing an unknown fate after committing his crime.
Initially, the Giza Security Directorate received a report of the child’s body inside a trash bin on the third floor of the mall, and security forces discovered that the body had cut wounds on the scalp along with bruises and scattered abrasions.
The preliminary investigations showed that the child lost his home after his parents separated and he had been spending his nights inside a famous mall in the city. A barbershop owner in the mall had offered him shelter to stay inside his shop overnight, but the situation changed in the morning after the man discovered that the child had wet the bed and began beating him with a wooden stick to death.
After killing the child, the shop owner tried to hide his crime by placing the body and the wooden stick inside a plastic bag, then placing it in a trash bin in an abandoned shop inside the mall.
The police identified the perpetrator after reviewing surveillance cameras in the area, revealing the involvement of the 40-year-old barber shop owner, who confessed to the crime after his arrest.
The prosecution ordered the detention of the suspect for 4 days pending the investigation, and authorized the burial of the body after the completion of the autopsy report.
