AlHunaiti Meets the Spanish Chief of Defence Staff

Khaberni  - Major General Yousef Ahmed Al-Hunaiti, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, welcomed on Tuesday at the General Command of the Jordanian Armed Forces, Admiral Teodoro Esteban Lopez Calderon, the Spanish Chief of Defence Staff, with his accompanying delegation.

Military reception ceremonies were held for the guest, where he reviewed the honor guard lined up to greet him.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed ways to expand bilateral cooperation in various military fields and exchange of expertise, contributing to improving efficiency and keeping pace with current challenges.

The Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff emphasized that Jordanian-Spanish relations are based on solid foundations of visions and aspirations aimed at facing various challenges, highlighting the importance of ongoing coordination and cooperation between the two friendly armies in various military fields through the exchange of expertise and capabilities.

For his part, Admiral Calderon praised the robust relations between the two countries and appreciated the prominent role played by the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan in enhancing regional security and stability under the regional circumstances.

Major General Al-Hunaiti and the visiting delegation, in the presence of the Spanish ambassador and the military attaché in Amman, and several senior officers of the Jordanian armed forces, listened to a number of briefings showcasing the modernization processes in the Jordanian armed forces, aligning with the nature of developments in the region and the proposed areas of cooperation between the two friendly armies.

In related context, Major General Al-Hunaiti and Admiral Calderon followed a tactical exercise at the King Abdullah II Center for Special Operations Training (KASOTC), conducted by the Royal Special Forces of King Abdullah II. The exercise included operational scenarios simulating facing contemporary security challenges in the operational environment, demonstrating an advanced level of proficiency in planning and execution, and usage of modern technologies, reflecting the level of military capability development of the Jordanian Armed Forces and their ability to respond to various circumstances.
