Khaberni - In a scene embodying the spirit of belonging and institutional work, the Pakistan Universities and Institutes Alumni Club in Jordan held its annual general assembly meeting on the evening of Saturday, April 18, 2026, at the Al-Muhaisen Association hall, attended by a select group of members and graduates.

The meeting was opened with a speech by the club president, Dr. Zaid Ahmad Al-Muhaisen, who began with praise and thanks, prayers and peace upon the noble Arab prophet, followed by a call for reading Al-Fatiha for the souls of the martyrs of the Arab and Islamic nation, the martyrs of Palestine, and the departed colleagues, recalling a journey of giving that spanned forty-six years.

Al-Muhaisen affirmed that the club, since its establishment, has remained a platform supporting Jordanian and Arab students wishing to continue their studies in Pakistan, through providing academic guidance and an introduction to the realities of university and living conditions there, in addition to enhancing relations with the Pakistani embassy in Amman through joint activities and cultural and national events.

He also emphasized the club's presence in the issues of its nation and its commitment to spreading responsible awareness and defending just values.

The meeting included the approval of the administrative and financial reports for 2025 and the agreement to amend the annual subscription fee to become five dinars, as well as the election of a new administrative body by acclamation, where Dr. Zaid Ahmad Al-Muhaisen won the position of president, Dr. Kamal Al-Momani as vice-president, Ahmed Zamil as secretary, and Dr. Jihad Al-Hajjawi as treasurer, with Dr. Mohammad Al-Humaidin, Dr. Mohammad Bashir Al-Rifai, and Engineer Sofian Ghraibeh as members.

The meeting concluded with a dinner banquet in honor of the attendees, in an atmosphere dominated by a spirit of brotherhood and appreciation. It is noted that the club was established in 1980, and since then, it continues to offer its services free of charge to Jordanian and Arab students, by introducing recognized universities and institutes in Pakistan, welcoming visiting delegations, and encouraging tourism and investment between the two countries, thereby enhancing the bonds of cooperation and mutual relations.
