Khaberni - Health and public safety crews in Jerash governorate have closed a livestock selling site near the Asfour Thagra area, due to it not having obtained official approvals from the relevant authorities.
A statement from Jerash municipality on Sunday stated that during the field inspection, it was found that the site did not meet the technical and environmental requirements, in addition to not fulfilling public and traffic safety requirements, clearly violating the systems and instructions in force.
Accordingly, it was decided to close the site immediately until its legal status is rectified and the necessary licenses and approvals are obtained from the relevant authorities, as well as finding an alternative site that complies with the nature of the activity and meets public safety requirements.
The municipality emphasized the importance of reviewing the relevant authorities and completing the legal procedures before starting any activity or opening any market, and complying with the related regulatory systems, noting that if the site is reopened or operated without completing the legal requirements, the violators will be subject to accountability and necessary legal actions will be taken.
