Khaberni - Frenchman Christophe Dugarry, former Barcelona striker, has launched a fierce criticism of the Spaniard Lamin Yamal, star of the Catalan team.
Lamin Yamal, at the age of 18, is considered one of the most prominent young talents in the world of football, and is a fundamental element in the Barcelona attack this season.
However, Christophe Dugarry publicly doubted Yamal's impact and mentality, especially after Barcelona's elimination from the quarterfinals of the Champions League following the defeat against Atletico Madrid.
In his talk on "RMC SPORT", the former Barcelona player criticized not only Yamal's performance but also his behavior, noting that the young star was all talk without backing it up with his performance on the pitch.
Dugarry said: "If you're going to talk a lot, make sure your team can win, in what world do you live, boy? In fact, you do nothing."
The criticism did not stop there; Dugarry continued to analyze Yamal’s performance in the match saying: "He scored in the fourth minute. And after that? He proved he's not among the Ballon d'Or candidates."
He continued: "Dembele would definitely have scored more goals, but the young Lamin only had his moment of brilliance, he is obviously talented, but he is far from being among the best in the world."
In concluding his statements, Dugarry doubted the player's impact and mentality saying: "I am not at all convinced that Barcelona deserved to qualify against Atletico, given the performance of Lamin Yamal, he suffers from excessive arrogance."
It is worth noting that the former French international only played 13 matches with Barcelona in his sole season with the Blaugrana in 1997, although he won the 1998 World Cup with Les Bleus.
