Breaking Record Highs Unprecedented Heat Wave Hits the United States

Khaberni  - The United States is expected to experience, on Wednesday, a long-lasting heat wave that threatens to break record high temperatures in major cities, including New York, Philadelphia, and the capital, Washington D.C.

This heat is unusual for April, not only because it covers a large area of the country early in the year, but also because of its prolonged duration.

Weather experts expect that temperatures close to record highs will continue until next Sunday.

This potential hot weather comes after severe storms swept through the states of Kansas, Minnesota, and Wisconsin on Monday.

Although reaching temperatures of about 32 degrees Celsius (90 degrees Fahrenheit) in April is not unprecedented, the continuation of a heat wave in this manner during this month is rare, according to experts.

John Fairick, a senior meteorologist at Q Weather, said, "Starting on Wednesday, we will witness record-breaking temperatures, beginning from Georgia to the New York City area, and even to the Ohio Valley."

The National Weather Service predicted that the high temperature in Central Park, New York City, would reach about 30 degrees Celsius (86 degrees Fahrenheit) today, Wednesday, compared to the record of 31 degrees (87 degrees Fahrenheit) set in 1941.
