AlMaaytah from Petra University Presents Innovative Surgical Technique at International Conference in Cairo

Khaberni - Associate Professor at the College of Dentistry at Petra University, Dr. Mohammad Ali Al-Maaytah, participated in the International Conference on Cosmetic, Reconstructive, and Burn Surgery held in Cairo, with the participation of four thousand surgeons representing eighty countries, representing Jordan and Petra University, on an official invitation from the Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons and Burn Surgeons and the International Society for Maxillofacial Surgery, as one of 12 visiting surgeons (International Guest Speakers).

During the conference, Al-Maaytah presented an innovative surgical technique for jaw implantation in newborns, known as the "Maaytah Technique for Advanced Facial Deformities." He also performed two successful surgeries using this innovative technique, amid acclaim from participating specialists.

The conference administration honored Dr. Al-Maaytah in recognition of his scientific and humanitarian contributions to treating facial deformities in children in Africa, India, and the Middle East. He also received an honor from the Egyptian Society of Cosmetic, Reconstructive, and Burn Surgery for his contributions to treating complex medical cases within non-profit initiatives.

The event saw extensive participation sponsored by Egyptian and international academic and medical institutions, and the program included seventy-nine advanced scientific lectures and ten specialized workshops in the fields of oral, maxillofacial, and skull base surgery.

It is noted that this participation reflects the presence of Jordanian competencies in international scientific forums and contributes to the exchange of expertise about the latest clinical practices in maxillofacial surgery.
