Egypt Arrest of a Blogger Publishing Tips to Avoid Surveillance Cameras

Khaberni - Egyptian security forces arrested a "blogger" who used to post video clips containing what he described as "precious tips" for criminals or those intending to violate laws and commit offenses, focusing the advice on how to avoid surveillance cameras and escape their influence.

A statement from the Ministry of Interior clarified that "the security devices revealed the details of what was circulated through one of the personal accounts on social media".

The statement further explained that "a video clip belongs to a content creator who explains how to evade surveillance cameras for those who wish to commit traffic violations or criminal offenses".

The statement added that "after examination, it was possible to identify and arrest the person in charge of the referred account, who was found residing within the jurisdiction of the First Police Department (Nasr City) in Cairo, and upon confronting him, he confessed to filming and posting the video clip".

The accused confirmed that he "derived the information in the video from artificial intelligence applications without verifying its accuracy", admitting that he "published the video with the aim of increasing viewership rates and achieving financial profits through social platforms".
