Khaberni - The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Jordan Phosphate Mines Company, Dr. Mohammad Al-Dhneibat, said that instructions have been given
to prepare a study to establish a floating port to export phosphate to meet the company’s growing demand for products, and to present it to the management board and relevant official authorities.
According to a statement from the company today, Monday, Al-Dhneibat mentioned during a tour where he inspected the shipping and handling operations at the phosphate export port in Aqaba, which included the port and the industrial complex and a number of work sites accompanied by the Chief Executive Officer Engineer Abdulwahhab Al-Rawad, that currently 6 ships are being loaded, with expectations of completing the loading operations by the beginning of next week, according to the approved export program.
He explained that the amount of phosphate scheduled to be exported before the end of April will exceed half a million tons, amid rising global demand and market confidence in the Jordanian product, noting that operational efficiency and integration of work between sites, along with prior planning, have contributed to ensuring the continuity of production and delivery despite geopolitical challenges and global conditions.
He clarified that the company continues to develop its infrastructure and enhance the efficiency of its operations to support its export commitments and strengthen its role in supporting the national economy.
On his part, Al-Rawad said that the work teams continue to efficiently execute handling operations and supply chain management, supported by modern operating systems that contribute to accelerating achievements and improving performance levels.
Al-Dhneibat and Al-Rawad listened to a briefing on the loading operations, with a commitment to safety and quality standards, praising the efforts and efficiency of the working staff in handling work requirements.
