Less than an Hour of Apple The Cheapest Foldable Phone in the World Costs 320

Khaberni - "+Ai" company revealed, at an event in India in April 2026, the Nova Flip foldable phone that comes at a price of 29,999 Indian Rupees, which is roughly $320, making it the cheapest foldable phone in the world.

The internal "AMOLED" screen size is 6.9 inches and comes with a resolution of 2790 × 1188 pixels, in addition to an external "AMOLED" screen measuring 3.1 inches.

The phone operates on "MediaTek Dimensity 7300" processor, paired with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal storage, according to a report by "Yanko Design", an electronic magazine specialized in product design news.

The phone comes with a rear camera unit with a main sensor of 50 megapixels, a depth lens of 2 megapixels, and a front camera of 32 megapixels.

The battery capacity is 4,325 milliampere hours, which is an excellent capacity, with support for 33-watt wired charging, fifth generation technology, "NFC" technology, and water and dust resistance according to "IP64" standard.

Surprising specifications for the price
A battery capacity of 4,325 milliampere hours in a foldable phone is an exceptional feature. The Galaxy Z Flip 6 comes with a 4,000 milliampere battery, as does the Motorola Razr Plus 2024, both priced three times higher than the Nova Flip.

Installing a larger-than-average battery in a foldable frame either requires a very clever internal design or acceptance of increased thickness, and "+Ai" company has not yet published the device dimensions when folded.

The 33-watt charging speed is acceptable, but not impressive, as it is much lower than the charging speeds provided by currently leading Chinese foldable phones, which range between 65 and 80 watts. However, for a device priced at $320, this speed is quite a reasonable standard.

Getting an IP64 rating at this price is surprising, as spray and dust resistance in foldable devices requires precise engineering around the hinge mechanism, where gaps and moving parts clearly form entry points.

Many foldable phones sold at twice the price do not come with any official rating for water and dust resistance at all, so Nova Flip achieving this rating at a price of 29,999 Rupees indicates a level of ambition in design that is not shown by technical specifications alone.

And it completes the list of specifications with a side fingerprint sensor, support for dual SIM with fifth-generation networks, "NFC" technology, USB-C port, and a feature set that would have looked decent on a phone priced $600 two years ago.
