Khaberni - Huawei officially unveiled the design of its anticipated Pura X Max phone, just days before its scheduled launch on April 20, marking a new trend in the foldable phone market.
The phone comes with a different concept from traditional designs, where the company promotes it as the first foldable device with a "wide horizontal" design instead of the usual tall and slim form, offering an experience closer to tablets.
The phone is expected to feature an internal screen ranging from 7.6 to 7.69 inches, with a 16:10 aspect ratio, making it suitable for multitasking and viewing content and work, in an experience that could be compared to devices like the iPad Mini, according to Al Arabiya.
The external screen is about 5.5 inches, allowing the use of the phone for daily tasks such as calls and messaging without needing to unfold it, featuring a design that includes a front camera integrated into a central punch hole.
The design reveals Huawei's reliance on a relatively flat frame, with a horizontal rear camera unit that includes several sensors, in an approach that enhances the modern character of the device.
Performance-wise, predictions indicate that the phone will be powered by Kirin 9030 processor, which is also expected to feature in the upcoming Pura 90 series.
The company also revealed that pre-orders are open in China, with the phone available in several memory and storage options, including:
- 12 GB + 256 GB.
- 12 GB + 512 GB.
- 16 GB + 512 GB (special edition).
- 16 GB + 1 TB.
The device will be available in five different colors: black, white, blue, gold, and orange, in an attempt to cater to a wide segment of users looking for distinction.
This announcement coincides with Huawei's preparation to launch the Pura 90 series, indicating a comprehensive strategy to enhance its presence in the smartphone market, especially in the increasingly competitive foldable device category globally.
