Khaberni – The Wall Street Journal reported, citing officials, that American president Donald Trump is considering directing limited strikes on Iran, following the collapse of talks that occurred in Islamabad.
According to sources, the option of resuming limited strikes on Iran was among the scenarios discussed by Trump on Sunday, while the option of a comprehensive bombardment was currently ruled out to avoid destabilizing the region.
The newspaper pointed out that the decision to impose a naval blockade is considered among the presented options and is less escalatory, despite its potential consequences.
The newspaper mentioned that Trump has renewed his threat in recent hours to target Iranian infrastructure, vowing to impose a more stringent blockade in the coming phase.
