Trump added in remarks to "Fox News": "The move to erase Iranian civilization brought the Iranians to the negotiating table."
Trump announced on Sunday a naval blockade in the Strait of Hormuz and the pursuit of ships that pay fees to Tehran, following hours after his deputy J.D. Vance announced the failure to reach an agreement with Tehran during the Islamabad negotiations.
Trump added that this blockade "begins immediately," noting that "at some point we will reach a situation where everyone is allowed to enter and exit" the strait.
