Tehran to Trump Expect a Vortex in Hormuz

Khaberni - The Revolutionary Guards on Sunday warned Iran's enemies of a "deadly vortex" in the Strait of Hormuz, amid President Donald Trump's announcement that Washington will impose a blockade on the strait, which Tehran has effectively closed since the start of the American-Israeli war on it.

The Guard's navy stated on the X platform, "The enemy will be caught in a deadly vortex in the Strait of Hormuz if they make a wrong move."

They added that "all navigational movements… are under the full control of the Iranian armed forces."

In this context, the Fars news agency, associated with the Iranian Revolutionary Guards, stated that "Trump has joined the Iranian team," adding that Trump, by threatening to impose a military blockade on the Strait of Hormuz, has dashed the last hopes of analysts for a decrease in oil prices, as described.

The agency mentioned that after announcing a truce for two weeks, and Iran's conditional agreement to reopen the strait, the price of Brent crude oil fell by about 11% to 97 dollars.

The agency noted that analysts were hoping that oil prices would return to lower levels with the continuation of this path, but Trump’s new threat to escalate tensions and close the strait militarily not only dashed this hope, but also put the market in front of the possibility of a several-fold increase in prices, according to her.

Hormuz Blockade
President Donald Trump stated today, Sunday, that Washington will immediately begin blockading the Strait of Hormuz, and intercept in international waters any ship that has paid fees to Iran, indicating that they will initiate a blockade of all ships attempting to enter or leave the strait.

He added—in a post on his Truth Social platform—that the US Navy will begin destroying mines that the Iranians claim to have planted in the Strait of Hormuz, pointing out that they "will blow up any Iranian who shoots at them during demining, sending them to hell."

The US President explained that anyone paying fees to Iran will not be allowed safe passage in international waters, adding that he has directed the navy to track and intercept every ship in international waters that has paid fees to Iran.

Data Discrepancy
This statement is published amidst a clear discrepancy between Tehran and Washington regarding what happened in the strait in the recent hours. While Iran insists that the American destroyer retreated after receiving warnings, the United States insists that its ships crossed the strait without encountering any threats.

The US Central Command (CENTCOM) announced last night that two destroyers, the "USS Frank E. Peterson" and the "USS Michael Murphy," crossed the Strait of Hormuz as part of a mission to clear sea mines, described as the first of its kind since the latest confrontation began.

However, Tehran vehemently denied this narrative, asserting that "no warships had crossed the strait," and emphasizing that the passage is completely controlled by the Iranian forces.
