From time to time, some mercenaries appear to disparage Jordan, stirring suspicions about it and undermining its Arab and regional role. The truth obliges us, as Jordanians and members of the Arab and Islamic nation, who pride ourselves on our great Hashemite leadership tracing its lineage to the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, not to preoccupy ourselves responding to these assertions and nonsense by trying to correct and adjust as though they were issued by a prophet or persons of integrity and credibility.
Each day, some mercenaries of the press and claimants of nationalism appear, their faces carved with the poison of illicit money paid to them to attack the honorable members of the nation and its legitimate leaders by lineage and religion, conspiring against Jordan's leading role in the region, uttering statements and conclusions and interpretations that God has not sanctioned. We go on trying to prove otherwise, or we busy ourselves justifying and striving to confirm that Jordan has not failed in the rights of its nation, has not deprived it of anything, has not conspired against it, has not compromised, and has not neglected the issues of its nation.
And although all that we do in this direction is correct, we must clarify that Jordan, under its Hashemite leadership, with its religious and moral upbringing, its Arab and Islamic affiliation, and the sacrifices made in the past and present, bearing burdens for its nation that even major countries could not bear, all this and other honorable and dignified positions widely acknowledged by those with sound natures, contradicts every form of injustice, oppression, conspiracy, betrayal, and denial of rights, and absolutely objectively for anyone looking with both eyes, not just one, is there anyone who has contributed more than Jordan in supporting the oppressed, providing refuge, sharing its resources, food, and drink with them? And are there freedoms, in form and substance, more profound in the Arab and Islamic countries than those experienced by Jordanians of all origins and backgrounds in the country of Abu Al-Hussein? Oh skeptics, is there any Arab country that has contributed more to its nation than Jordan, which has shared both its daily bread and its destiny? Jordan has opened its borders to anyone who knocks on its door because his country has oppressed him; it has bonded with relatives, carried everyone, supported the destitute, sheltered guests, aided in adversities, dealt with its Arab brethren with good faith, overlooked faults, and overlooked many offenses; Jordan has dealt with everyone with clarity and credibility, and is there clarity, frankness, and transparency more express than the Jordanian image in dealing with the Palestinian issue and the issues of the nation.
And if some appoint themselves guardians over the rights of the nation and mourn over it, then why don't they pinpoint and objectively compare the Jordanian stance on the issues of the nation, including the Palestinian issue, with that of other Arab countries, and the whole world witnesses, including the Palestinians themselves with all their factions, that what Jordan has offered surpasses what the combined Arab countries have provided. Regarding the Arab situation, Jordan has opened its borders to refugees, whether from Syria, Iraq, Yemen, Libya, or other Arab countries, and these honorable stances tie the present to the past, reminding us how the Jordanians welcomed their Chechen and Circassian brothers to reaffirm that the Jordanian embrace has a strong connection with the Hashemite leadership that inherited valor, generosity, and aid in distress.
I desperately wish the mercenaries who have sold themselves out for deep-seated grudges, receiving payment to incite strife and rewind time for the sake of erasing the truth.
And it can be said: The responsibility of all Jordanians and all the honorable members of the nation requires writing the history of Jordan and its stances in the past and present and teaching them in a way that is consistent with the nobility of its Hashemite leadership and their principles so that we contribute to spreading the true image of the role of this patient country and its wise, cautious, and prudent Hashemite leadership towards the issues of the nation, including the Palestinian issue that the Hashemites have never hesitated to illuminate its path and maintain its rights in accordance with the aspirations of the Palestinians themselves.
Jordan will remain the beating heart of the nation, inheriting honor and dignity generation after generation, surpassing the thieves of passion and the traders of principles.
