Khaberni - In a step reflecting their keenness on enhancing community traffic culture, "Talabat" Jordan and the Public Security Directorate – Jordan Traffic Institute have renewed the multi-faceted memorandum of understanding that has united them since 2022, aimed at continuing their strategic cooperation to enhance road safety levels.
The memorandum of understanding embodies the commitment of "Talabat" Jordan, with its sustained support for national institutions concerned with reducing traffic accidents, which are a major problem in the kingdom. It supports these institutions in combating this phenomenon effectively through establishing a culture and practices of responsible and safe driving, within the scope of its corporate social responsibility.
The memorandum of understanding gains importance as it coincides with the approval of the system to improve traffic safety and incentive measures for drivers for the year 2026 by the Council of Ministers to encourage compliance with traffic laws. It also comes in light of the positive outcomes of the joint work between the parties, reflected in increased compliance rates of the company’s fleet drivers with traffic rules, the activation of the "Talabat Patrol" supervisors' role in promoting a culture of safe driving within the “Talabat” fleet after achieving their required readiness, in addition to increasing preventive traffic knowledge and awareness among its customers and app users.
During the past cooperation period, the company had implemented a series of awareness-raising, educational, and advisory activities for car and scooter drivers and "Talabat Patrol" supervisors, including joint workshops with the Traffic Institute, first aid training in cooperation with the Civil Defense Directorate, and training sessions held as part of the company’s quarterly program "Traffic Safety Week," along with many other traffic awareness campaigns aimed at community members.
Under the new cooperation, both parties will continue their efforts in implementing programs, initiatives, and activities that enhance the traffic safety environment in the kingdom, aligned with the orientations of the economic modernization vision, particularly in the area of enhancing safety, health, and improving quality of life.
