Khaberni - The Director of Public Security, Major General Dr. Obaidallah Al-Muayta, inaugurated today, Wednesday, the South Naour Security Center affiliated with the South Amman Police Directorate, and the Um Al-Basateen Civil Defense Center affiliated with the West Amman Civil Defense Directorate, in conjunction with the 105th anniversary of the establishment of the General Security Directorate.
During the inauguration of the centers, the Director of Public Security conveyed the greetings and appreciation of His Majesty the supreme Command King Abdullah II to the personnel, and His Majesty's appreciation for their sincere efforts in serving the nation and its citizens.
Major General Al-Muayta affirmed that the opening of the centers is part of the expansion plan pursued by the Public Security Directorate, in accordance with the Royal directives aimed at elevating the level of services provided to citizens, and enhancing the readiness of security and humanitarian facilities to meet various community needs efficiently and effectively.
The Director of Public Security pointed out that the opening coincides with the anniversary of the establishment of Public Security, which embodies a prolonged journey of dedication and devotion to serving the nation and its citizens, affirming the directorate's ongoing development of its capabilities and potential to keep up with security challenges, and contribute to enhancing the security and stability system in the Kingdom.
Major General Al-Muayta indicated that the South Naour Security Center represents a qualitative addition that will enhance the security response speed for the people of the area, and improve the quality of services provided to them following the latest police practices.
In the same context, Major General Al-Muayta explained that the Um Al-Basateen Civil Defense Center will contribute to enhancing the level of humanitarian services provided, through equipping it with the latest equipment and technologies, thereby enhancing the readiness and efficiency of civil defense personnel and reducing response time in dealing with incidents and emergencies.
At the end of the inauguration ceremony, Major General Al-Muayta toured the facilities of the buildings, where he viewed their logistical and technical readiness at the centers.
