Khaberni - Joint field campaigns in all regions of the kingdom caught 14,242 violators of residency, work, and border security systems. The roundup included 7,884 violators of the residency system, 3,948 violators of the border security system, and 2,410 violators of the work system, during the period from 26/03/2026 to 01/04/2026.
Among those who attempted to cross the borders into the kingdom, 1,449 individuals were caught, including 27% Yemenis, 71% Ethiopians, and 2% of other nationalities. Additionally, 29 people trying to cross the borders out of the kingdom illegally, and 25 individuals involved in transporting, housing, employing violators, and covering up their activities were caught.
Currently, 36,365 violating expatriates are undergoing procedures to enforce the systems, including 32,309 men and 4,056 women. 23,815 violators were referred to their diplomatic missions to obtain travel documents, and 6,808 violators to complete their travel reservations, while 6,285 violators were deported.
The Ministry of Interior confirmed that anyone who facilitates the entry of violators of the border security system into the kingdom or their transport within it, provides them shelter, or offers them any assistance or service in any form, exposes themselves to penalties of up to 15 years imprisonment, a fine up to one million Riyals, confiscation of transport and residential means used for housing, along with defamation. It clarified that this crime is considered a major crime that warrants arrest, and it undermines honor and integrity, urging reporting of any violation cases on the number (911) in the regions of Mecca, Medina, Riyadh, and the Eastern Province, and (999) and (996) in the rest of the kingdom’s regions.
