SyrianSaudi contract to develop several gas fields and increase their production by 50 in Syria

Khaberni - The Syrian Petroleum Company signed an executive contract with "Adis" of Saudi Arabia to develop gas fields, which ensures an increase in production up to 50% within a year, within the framework of supporting the stability of supplies and enhancing the national economy.
The statement said the company: "The Syrian Petroleum signs an executive contract with Adis of Saudi Arabia to develop gas fields in the central region, with an expected production increase of up to 50% within a year, in support of the stability of supplies and enhancement of the national economy."
The company's statement indicated that the contract includes the execution of maintenance and development work on the existing wells, in addition to drilling new exploratory wells within the agreed work areas, adopting modern technologies that contribute to improving production efficiency and localizing technical expertise.

The company pointed out that it is expected to achieve a gradual increase in gas production reaching up to 25% after the first six months, reaching higher levels up to 50% by the end of the year, which supports the stability of supplies and enhances the sector's contribution to the national economy.

In turn, the Director of Corporate Communications in the company, Safwan Sheikh Ahmed, told the "SANA" agency, that the contract with the "Adis" Saudi company came after signing an agreement last September, and it is not just a technical cooperation agreement, but a strategic turn in the path of vision aimed at enhancing energy sovereignty and developing natural resources in the central region and discovering new gas fields.

He affirmed that the project is an engine for economic recovery, as every additional cubic meter of gas is a direct support to the national industrial sector, to ease the financial burdens on the state, and to guarantee sustainability of supplies that directly affect the life of the Syrian citizen, emphasizing the company's commitment to building a more stable future, where gas is the key driver of sustainable development and comprehensive energy security.
