Khaberni - The first transit container converted across Syrian territory from the Port of Aqaba in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan has arrived at Latakia Port, reflecting the initiation of regional transit routes and enhancing Syria's role as a logistical corridor connecting ports and markets in the region.
This operation is part of the efforts by the General Authority of Ports and Customs to develop the transit system and simplify procedures, which contributes to accelerating the movement of goods and increasing the efficiency of transit according to modern operational standards.
This step confirms the readiness of Syrian ports to accommodate transit traffic and reinforces Syria's position as a key corridor for the movement of goods between the Gulf countries and Europe, and vice versa, supporting its presence in regional supply chains.
