Khaberni - The IMF mission started, from last Thursday and via videoconferencing technology, the fifth review in Amman, according to a source for "Al-Mamlaka".
The Fund's mission held several meetings with the government's economic team and discussed the economic, financial, and monetary conditions under the fifth review within the framework of the Extended Fund Facility and the second review under the Financial Sustainability arrangements with Jordan.
The fifth review is expected to be completed on the sidelines of the annual spring meetings of the IMF and the World Bank, during the presence of the government's economic team in Washington, according to the source.
This review comes after the IMF's Executive Board, in December, approved the fourth review under the Extended Fund Facility and the first review under the Financial Resilience and Sustainability Facility arrangements with Jordan.
It is anticipated that the successful completion of the fifth review of Jordan's program supported by the Fund Facility will result in a new disbursement of about 97.784 million Special Drawing Rights (approximately 130 million dollars).
Similarly, the success of the second review under the Financial Resilience and Sustainability Facility arrangements with Jordan is expected to result in about 110 million US dollars being made available within the Resilience and Sustainability Facility to support the economic program.
