National Electricity No Power Outages in Jordan

Khaberni - The General Manager of the National Electricity Company, Sofyan Al-Batayneh, confirmed that the electrical system in the kingdom is operating with high efficiency, safely, and sustainably, emphasizing that there are no justifications for concern about the continuity of the electrical power supply.

Al-Batayneh said that the fuel supply chains necessary for power generation are operating normally and regularly, noting that all generation stations are operating normally, alongside the readiness of transmission lines and substations in various regions of the kingdom.

He pointed out that currently, there is no load shedding program or scheduled outages, confirming that the electrical system is operating smoothly and stably, with a reliance on a diverse mix of fuel sources including liquefied natural gas and traditional fuels like diesel.

Regarding gas supplies, Al-Batayneh explained that the supply continues normally, supported by the presence of the regasification vessel operating at high efficiency in the port of Aqaba, in addition to scheduled liquefied gas shipments according to approved operational plans, ensuring the continuity of generation without interruption.

He added that there is ongoing coordination with the Egyptian and Iraqi sides to secure gas and fuel supplies necessary for generation, as part of enhancing energy supply security.

Al-Batayneh affirmed the company's commitment to implementing the Prime Minister's directive to adopt measures for rationalizing expenses, pointing out that the use of vehicles is controlled and restricted to official tasks, along with the application of energy rationalization measures within the company's facilities, in line with the decisions of the Cabinet, supporting the efficiency of resource use and service sustainability.
