Khaberni - Minister of Education, Higher Education, and Scientific Research Azmi Mahafzah said that the appointment of supplemental education teachers is either for a genuine vacancy or as a temporary employment substitute, in cases such as leaves or health conditions of the teachers.
Mahafzah explained, during the parliamentary supervisory session on Wednesday, that the ministry, based on the directives of the Prime Minister, is currently preparing a study to establish a mechanism to address the supplemental education file, by gradually increasing the number of annual vacancies over 3 to 4 years.
He clarified that the goal of this step is to ultimately end the supplemental education system, after discussing the study with the General Budget Department and the Ministry of Finance, in preparation for allocating the necessary financial appropriations to implement it.
