Khaberni - Joy pervaded the Jordanian circles following the Iraqi national team's qualification to the World Cup, after its victory over Bolivia (2-1) in the qualifying match, securing its place alongside the Jordanian team in the tournament.
With Iraq's qualification, the number of Arab teams participating rises to eight, namely: Jordan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Morocco, Tunisia, Egypt, Algeria, and Iraq.
Despite the sporting contentions Khaberni that the two teams have experienced in recent years, especially since the Asian Cup match in Qatar which Jordan won (3-2), as well as other encounters like the Arab Cup tournament, the atmosphere reflected a spirit of brotherhood between the two countries, being sister nations that share close relations inside and outside the green field.
