Khaberni - The Iraqi Civil Aviation Authority announced today, Tuesday, the extension of the closure of Iraqi airspace to all incoming, departing, and transiting aircraft for a period of (72) hours.
The Civil Aviation Authority stated in a statement, Tuesday, that it "announces the extension of the closure of Iraqi airspace to all incoming, departing, and transiting aircraft for a period of (72) hours, as a temporary precautionary measure", indicating that "the decision is based on the continuous assessment of the security situation and developments in regional conditions, and it will be re-evaluated according to further developments".
It continued: "Airlines and relevant entities will be notified of any subsequent updates".
