Khaberni - There has been an increase in searches for the dates of Arafat Stand and Eid Al-Adha 2026, amid interest in knowing the astronomical calculations and the anticipated official holidays.
The date of Arafat Stand and Eid Al-Adha for the year 2026 is witnessing increasing interest from citizens in the Arab and Islamic worlds, coinciding with the end of Eid Al-Fitr, as Eid Al-Adha is one of the most prominent religious occasions and the longest official holiday during the year.
The National Institute for Astronomical Research announced that the Arafat Stand will be on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, with the first day of Eid Al-Adha being Wednesday, May 27.
The Institute clarified that the crescent moon of Dhu al-Hijjah will be born following the conjunction on the evening of Saturday, May 16, but it will not be visible on the day of sighting due to the moon setting before the sun in Mecca and Cairo, indicating astronomically that the month of Dhu al-Qi’dah will complete 30 days.
Regarding official holidays, the upcoming period includes a number of vacations, notably the holiday of Arafat Stand on May 26, followed by the holiday of Eid Al-Adha from May 27 to May 29, as part of the official holiday schedule for 2026.
The list of remaining holidays during the year includes a number of occasions, among them Sham El-Nessim, Sinai Liberation Day, Labor Day, Islamic New Year, the anniversary of the June 30 Revolution, alongside Mawlid al-Nabi and Armed Forces Day in October.
