Vice President Trump Criticizes Netanyahu You Were Too Optimistic About Toppling the Iranian Regime

Khaberni  - Vice President JD Vance confronted Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in a tense phone call, accusing him of being overly optimistic about the chances of regime change in Iran.

Vice President informed the Israeli leader last Monday that many of his predictions about the war that he had promoted to President Donald Trump had not materialized.

Despite the death of Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, hardline factions have tightened their grip on power, and the regime still firmly holds the reins.

A source told "Axios" that "before the war, Bibi really sold it to the president as being easy, and that regime change was more likely than it actually was. And the vice president was well aware of some of those statements."

Vance, who is said to have advised Trump against going to war with Iran, was tasked by the president to help lead the negotiations to end the conflict.

A day after Vance's call with Netanyahu, a right-wing Israeli media outlet owned by Republican donor Miriam Adelson reported that the vice president yelled at Netanyahu because of the violence of Israeli settlers against Palestinians in the West Bank.

White House officials described the report as incorrect and began to suspect that Israelis had planted the story in an attempt to tarnish Vance’s reputation.

An Israeli official denied that Netanyahu had planted the story, stating that his office issued a full denial when approached by journalists.
