Abu Husseins Soldiers in the Field Jordanian Youth Between Rallying Around Leadership and the Role of Participation in Times
الكاتب: ديما القيسي

In moments of challenge, the strength of nations is manifested in the unity of their ranks and the cohesion of their leaders with their people. Jordan, overseen by a turbulent regional environment and delicate circumstances, finds in its sons' rallying around their leadership the real guarantee for the state's stability and the continuation of its journey.

It is no exaggeration to say that the Hashemite leadership has a special and different character from any leadership in the world, as it is a leadership that all the people rally around at all times, and His Majesty King Abdullah II has established the approach of field leadership, present in the details of the homeland's concerns, defending the issues of the nation, which has become an inspiring model present in the awareness and conscience of the Jordanian youth, placing them today  in front of a doubled responsibility, in the necessity of effective participation and field engagement in the state's project and in defending and protecting it.

Standing behind the leadership, rallying around it, and the absolute trust in its choices are not merely confined to emotional outbursts and moral symbols, nor is it understood as such. Instead, it is a historical path and a pressing national necessity, which requires moving to the realms of action and translating that in the field, through unity of rank, prevailing national interest, and distancing from anything that weakens the internal front.
In this regard, the fundamental question emerges: How can youth move from the space of support and expression to a position of real influence and change? And how can party work and official participation frameworks contribute to enhancing this role in the current phase?

Party work, as one of the tools of political participation, offers a framework for organizing the energies of youth, formulating realistic programs, and contributing to decision-making. However, it will not achieve its impact unless it is consistent with national priorities and reflects the youth's awareness of the responsibility placed upon them. Here, the link between rallying around the leadership and institutional work appears: both are part of the national equation that ensures the stability of Jordan and enhances its capability to face challenges.

From here, the role of youth as soldiers of “Abu Hussein” in the field emerges, carrying on their shoulders the trust of belonging, effectively contributing to safeguarding the nation’s achievements, enhancing the unity of its ranks, and shaping its future with steadiness and faith. Jordan does not only need symbolic support, but also mature awareness that translates rallying around the leadership into an effective effort that makes a difference. The challenges are great, but the capabilities of Jordanian youth are greater, and their unity around their leadership is the real guarantee to cross the stage with confidence and stability.
