Nagelsmann clarifies Musialas status for the World Cup

Khaberni - Julian Nagelsmann, the coach of the Germany national football team, said that time is running out for Jamal Musiala, the team's forward, to regain the full physical fitness required to participate in the upcoming World Cup.

Musiala, 23, experienced an allergic reaction on March 10, the ankle he had severely injured last summer while playing with his club Bayern Munich, before returning to individual training on Thursday.

Musiala is a key player for both Bayern and his national team, but he has not played any matches with the national team (the machines) for 12 months. He is currently missing the team's next two friendly matches against Switzerland, on Friday, and Ghana, on the upcoming Monday, as preparation for the World Cup, which is being held this summer in the United States, Mexico, and Canada.

Bayern has not specified a return date for Musiala to the fields, and there is not much time left before Germany's departure on June 2 for the World Cup.

Nagelsmann said before the match against Switzerland: Like any other player, Jamal must be in full fitness if he wants to participate and play.

The German coach added: Musiala doesn't have much time left, there is no doubt about that. But I think he is able to regain his full fitness. He only has eight weeks left.

Nagelsmann explained: Nagelsmann has been absent for a long time. All I hope is that his ankle heals quickly, that there are no further complications, and that he feels no more pain.

He emphasized by saying: The most important thing for Jamal is to be in good health, not to feel any pain, and to be able to deliver his best performance and regain his usual level.

Musiala suffered a fibula fracture and ankle ligament tear during the Club World Cup last July and returned to the fields in January before this recent setback.

Nagelsmann revealed: It was a very serious injury, and as is common, it causes some minor problems from time to time.

The coach of the Germany national team concluded his statement saying: If you are a player on the field, and you feel pain, and can bear it and perform at 100%, it doesn't matter, but if you suffer from pain that you cannot bear for various reasons, you are somewhat restricted. You can't play freely.
